Dr. Yaya Huang embarked on her medical journey at the University of Hong Kong, where she earned her MBBS degree and discovered a deep interest in family medicine. She subsequently continued her clinical training in Hong Kong as a family physician, with various exposures in both chronic disease management and episodic care, serving patients across diverse communities.
With a strong belief in patient empowerment and holistic care, Dr. Huang is drawn to the versatility and the evolving potential of family medicine—especially at the intersection of technology, individualised care, preventive health and education. In 2025, she returned to HKU as a Clinical Practitioner to pursue her passion in clinical service, academic research, and teaching.
