Clinical Foundation Block (MBBS IV)
The Clinical Foundation Block is designed to help students consolidate what they have acquired in the system blocks and translate them into systemic application in clinical scenarios. Students will have a wider exposure in family medicine and primary care practice. Applications of basic sciences and public health principles in clinical medicine will be emphasized, including clinical genetics, clinical pharmacology, microbiology and infectious diseases. A coordinated course in bedside clinical skills of history taking and physical examination will begin in this Block, starting with general approach to the individual with a clinical problem.
